Angel Villagran Munoz, Mechatronics: Rube Goldberg Project #3

Today, Me and Maya were working on our project. We were figuring out what was going on with the code and realized that it may be the magnet sensor that was wrong. Though we also had to fix our code and so we worked on that too. Plus not forgetting we had to rewire everything. Nothing more, nothing less.

Today, I was working on the project of Tardis. I checked the board out that we were supposed to cut out and was looking for the hot knife. The team found the knife and so we proceeded to cut out the board. We only got 3 cutouts for the time begin and sooner or later will continue to cut out more pieces.

Today, I work on my Linked In account. I was working on my description part of the account and adding to that I was going to add in my work experience but I couldn't have time to do so. So I began to make a google doc to make my first part of the experience. Next up was working on the Rube Goldberg, which me and Maya was worked on the building part. We finally made the stand of the magnet detector which would have the motor spin in circles plus having the magnet spun on the motor which would trigger the sensor, hence activating the other persons project.

Today, I mostly done bits of the work of the Job skills. I completed mostly around 2 which was enough because I had to continue with Maya on the Rube Goldberg. During the time we went to the presentation being held at the hub. Nothing much but it was for us attending another program for early jobs. Not my taste but it was very interesting. Mostly though work on the project and nothing more to it. Made more progress, but we are missing a magnet and that is it.

Today, Maya and I worked on the building portion of our project. We checked on the code we made for our magnet sensor and we fell into some trouble. The code kept reading that there was another magnet near by so it kept saying "detected" over and over again. It took some time to figure out the problem but it was solved. There was something that Maya added in and so the code ran and done things right. I've drilled each of the pieces of pipe that we have and added the sensors to one of the pipe. We ran down some marbles and the sensor detected the marbles which worked. Overall, progress is being made.

Mia and I are a team for the Rube Goldberg Project. For our part, we were thinking of having marbles be pushed down a pipeline. Inside the pipeline, we were thinking of cutting a hole on top. The reason for that is for having light coming through. After that, under the light would be a photo sensor. That sensor would then activate the motor connecting to the arduino. Then the motor would hit the magnet hing off of a string an make the ball hit a magnet sensor. Then would have triggered another person's project.

Today, I have logged into two of the sources that everyone was given. Those sources are Linkin and Cisco. Then as for Open Lab, I helped out over with Cindy and Timothy with the Tardis. I helped with measuring the styrofoam and lining up the given spots to cut out the pieces. That is overall the things I've done.
