Angel: Discussion on our Robot Dog Food Dispenser

Today, What I have done is cooperated with my robotics group and discussed about our little robot. We managed to come up with a few questions that we would need to understand before we started to analyze our ideas further on. We needed to understand the person we are going to help out and so to do that, we would need to understand the following;



  • What is the size of the dog?
  • What food type for the dog do we insist in focusing on more?
  • What area should this machine be placed? 
  • What is the layout of the room/home?
  • Battery powered or plug in?
  • Any size criteria of this machine?  
These are the start to what our group needs to understand. These questions would help us look for what the person we are helping would prefer more. As the robot we are creating would be a change to someones life.

Today, I work on my Linked In account. I was working on my description part of the account and adding to that I was going to add in my work experience but I couldn't have time to do so. So I began to make a google doc to make my first part of the experience. Next up was working on the Rube Goldberg, which me and Maya was worked on the building part. We finally made the stand of the magnet detector which would have the motor spin in circles plus having the magnet spun on the motor which would trigger the sensor, hence activating the other persons project.

Angel Villagran Munoz: Open Lab, Dog Food

Today I was thinking of what other ideas we can implement into our Dispenser. What I thought about was that there should be a calibrating system. By that, I was thinking of having some sort of code on the back of our dispenser. Then have that be added onto our little app to make things more safe as no one else can interfere with the device. This can be better for safety reasons and overall the idea this can be very good. I need to figure out the working of the sort of system though. I will research as much as I can to understand plus gain some help from someone I know who is very aware about how this works.

Today, I am almost finished with the Job skills ready. Only need one last lesson and done. Then the whole I was working on the Exploravision. First my group got a lead on to what our plan is. Found out the generators position and where this would be powering from. Plus how there will be power storing up. Figured the amount of houses would be powered and then figured the amount of power needed for the generator.
